We like mambo / I'm so tired" (Ace 515).

Lot of news about Jazz and Blues!

Eddie Bo is the man. I was fortunate enough to see him play in New Orleans last year, and he's going as strong as ever. Thanks.
good to hear that Mister Bocage is still going strong. I saw him in summer 1998 in Berlin. He did play with his session band from N.O. at least 10 men. He did only one of his classics "I#m wise" (solo) and did an interview with a moderator about that song and his life. He did the original "I#m wise" solo. The band was just a session band and they jammed more than they had an real programm. So they did the well known soul classics (Sam&Dave, Pickett etc., some Fats Domino, some N.O. R&B classics from the 50 and 60's and a occassional Herbie Hancock and Booker & Mgs instrumental. They played open air five days (though the programm was almost every time the same) and got better from day to day. The best thing admission was only 2.50 Euro!!!!!!!!
merci is fantastic
